In the upcoming days eighth grade students will have several duties to complete such as taking Matura exam and enrolling to secondary school.
Namely, on June 1st and 2nd, another probation Matura exam is being held. On Monday, June 1st, eighth grade students will go to their primary schools, take over their Serbian/mother language test and a Combination test and complete them at home. The next day, on Tuesday, June 2nd, the students return the completed tests to school, and on the same day, at school, they take the Math test. At this probation Matura exam, students and teachers practically go through the established procedures in taking the final exam, since the probation Matura exam is a simulation of the final exam (arrival time, required school material, procedures and rules before, during and after the final exam, organization of space and work, roles of the class teacher, teachers on duty, supervisors, etc.).
The official final exam is scheduled for June 17th, 18th and 19th. Eighth grade students take the final exam in their primary school, by completing three tests:
- Serbian/mother tongue – June 17th from 9am to 11am
- Math – June 18th from 9am to 11am
- Combination test – June 19th from 9am to 11am
Based on the achieved results in the final exam, a student can win a maximum of 40 points, i.e. a maximum of 13 points on the test in Serbian/mother language and Math, and 14 points on the Combination test.
Eighth grade students will find out the temporary results of the final exam on Tuesday, June 23rd, by 8am. Students will be able to file complaints on the results of the final exam on the same day from 8am to 3pm. Students will receive response to complaints on June 24th from 8am to 4pm, and the final results of the final exam will be announced on June 28th until 8am.
Students submit their wish lists at their primary schools on June 29th and 30th from 8am to 3pm. Wish lists will be published on July 4th, when students will be able to check their accuracy. The official wish lists will be published on July 5th at noon.
A student who has achieved a total of at least 50 points based on success in the final exam and general success from the sixth to the eighth grade of primary school acquires the right to ranking for enrollment in a four-year secondary school.
The official results of the distribution of students by secondary schools and educational profiles and by directions of gymnasiums will be announced by the primary school on July 7th, and students will be able to enroll on July 8th and 9th from 8am to 3pm.
