At the regional conference on the results of the “Decade of Roma Inclusion” held in Belgrade, Deputy Director of Roma Education Fund, Azra Junuzovic, spoke about implemented activities in education and employment.
She emphasized that she is very pleased to hear that several participants mentioned REF scholarship program and achieved results in education, and added that a lot is being achieved in employment of Roma within two regional projects – one is being implemented in Western Balkans and Turkey (“Increased Education Opportunities for Roma Students and Roma Youth in Western Balkans and Turkey”) and the other in Hungary, Romania and Slovakia (“Shaping Academic and Employment Skills for Young Roma”).
Fatima Kamberović, Employment officer within the project “Employment Empowerment of young Roma” implemented by Roma Education Fund Representative Office in Serbia, spoke about the effective mechanisms and achieved results of this project in education and employment.
