Within the cooperation between the Roma Education Fund Representative Office and the GIZ YEP project, young Roma were enabled to attend training for welders in the training center of the GOSA Institute in Smederevska Palanka. So far, 16 young people have successfully completed training in using three welding techniques and have received a certificate for each of the techniques. The certificate for welders is recognized in Serbia, but also abroad, and the demand for welders in the labor market is extremely high. That is why a large number of young Roma are interested in this training, which involves a three-month stay in a training center, provided accommodation and food.
