„Education is very important. I do not think that the one who is educated will surely live better, but he will surely have the opportunity for a better life.“

Robert decided to pursue his profession in Pharmacy, however, he says that the society in which we live has led him to take an interest in social topics as well. Along with his studies at the Faculty of Medicine, Robert began his engagement at redaction, where he researches and writes on topics such as ecology and minority rights. Also, during his studies, Robert started working in a non-governmental organization, where he is currently engaged in organizing the collectors of secondary raw materials. He adds that he did not have any difficulties during his studies, especially having in mind he used to be a Roma Education Fund scholar since his first year at the Faculty.

“Education is very important. I do not think that the one who is educated will surely live better, but he will surely have the opportunity for a better life. That means he will be able to help his parents. That means he will be able better to understand the whole world and the society around him. Means that he will be able to contribute to the society in which he lives.”

During his studies, Robert had the greatest support from his parents. He points out that this support was the most important thing in his educational process. He and his sister were expected to enroll faculties, in fact, it was a certainty. Such an expectation of his parents additionally motivated Robert, and he plans to continue his education and even exceed all expectations.

Robert will complete his internship within the project “Employment Empowerment of Young Roma – phase 2” in a month and thus meet the condition for taking the state exam. After obtaining a license, he plans to get a job. What Robert would like the most is a job as a professor in a secondary school or a faculty.

“I would advise everyone to do what they really like, to educate themselves in accordance with their beliefs and desires. As difficult as the situation may seem, the most important thing is to stay consistent with yourself
